WHO WE ARE
JPS Construction Services is owned by Jose Salinas. Jose Salinas was born and raised in Southern Texas when it was little more than a small farming community. His father, Patrick Salinas established Country Home Improvements in 1949 and built his reputation on superb quality, service, and integrity – characteristics which are still the foundation of the company today. Assisting his father with the family business, Joe got early, firsthand knowledge of how to build and maintain a successful general contracting business. Patrick encouraged his children to work hard in construction, attend church, and play stringed musical instruments as he had. Remembering his father’s advice that a good name is more valuable than gold,” Joe continued his father’s work after his untimely death and after completing his own college education.
Jose has now built JPS Construction Services into one of the top 20 contracting and remodeling companies in the city of Chicago. Joe exhibited leadership skills even back in high school, where he became president of his class for two years. He acquired a wealth of experience in the construction trades by the time he graduated; he went on to earn his business degree from the University of Illinois. While in college he formed and toured the nation with “Mocambo”, a recording band.
The business management style at JPS Construction Services is a blend of Jose’s strong leadership skills with the talents of the staff that he has placed in each integral position within the company structure. Talented people, using proven organizational systems and procedures, produce great results. JPS Construction Services exudes a high level of professionalism that is due to having the right people in the right places using the right systems. In the last three years Joe has partnered with the “Home Owners Connection” and has enjoyed this mutually beneficial relationship as it has helped his business grow dramatically. As President of JPS Construction Services, Jose actively manages the firm’s design, estimating, and sales staff while also overseeing its Project Managers. He personally monitors the progress and development of each job. Jose places a great importance on family and community. He sponsors local community projects and believes that community spirit is alive and well here in Chicago land. Financial advisers agree that remodeling your home is one of the most lucrative investments one can make. With returns in the 100+% range it only makes sense to invest in your home. Not only can you expect to make a substantial return on your investment at the time of selling your home, but you can reap the benefits of living in the newly remodeled space until such time as you are ready to sell. It is for that reason that banks and other lending institutions consider refinancing mortgages for the purposes of remodeling as an excellent risk on their behalf.
